This program is specifically for people with ANY NEWLY RESCUED STREET Dog, Cat or Horse  with life threatening conditions = they could die without medical treatment.     For other situations please start on our About Defensa page which lists all our other programs.

Steps For Open Rescue Program 

1. Post to Facebook – Tell the detailed STORY of your animal and their life threatening medical condition in a PUBLIC FACEBOOK POST, with a DONATE BUTTON to “Defensa Animal de Puerto Rico”.      The post needs to include as much information, photos & videos as possible.   Include what the life threatening situation is – the more serious the situation the more photos and videos we will require.  If you don’t want to use Facebook please try reaching out to another rescue group to help instead of us.    If you don’t know how to make  a DONATE button  like the below photo we have this video or this video which should help explain   

2 ) Email Us DefensaRincon@gmail.com – The FB Link to The Post you made.     Include in this email  the Animal’s Name, The Specific Life Threatening Situation as well as Your name , email  and phone number  

3 ) Include in the email Which Vet Clinic do you *prefer*   Choices are …

• • Dogs & Cats   Aguada AMC or  Mayaguez Miradero  
  • Horses can only be Dr Ramos via his Hatillo Clinic  787-879-5251  “Hospital Veterinario San Francisco de Asís” – he does make appointment to visit you if you cannot trailer a horse to him
